Al Bastakiya, Al Fahidi historical neighbourhood

Between Bur Dubai Waterfront & Al Mankhool Road, Al Fahidi Street.

About Al Bastakiya

Al Bastakiya is the oldest village in Dubai. Its name is derived from “Bastak”, a Persian city, as it was built by rich Persian merchants at the end of the 19th century.
You can walk in the numerous alleyways, discover the old ochre houses and their wind towers (the traditional air
conditioning), visit the art galleries and cafes, have a refreshment at the Arabian Tea House or enjoy some lovely paintings on the walls.
There are also a few guest houses and shops.
