About Ras al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary

Ras al Khor Wildlife sanctuary is a piece of wildness in the middle of the city. It welcomes more than 20,000 water birds from 67 species as well as various species of flora. The sanctuary, located at the head of the Dubai Creek, was created under partnership of WWF UAE Project Office and Dubai Municipality’s Environment Department. Visitors
can observe the birds as well as the ecosystem from three birding hides.

Three hides

  • Mangrove Hide: Off Ras al Khor road
  • Flamingo Hide: Off the junction of Al Wasl road and Oud Metha road
  • Lagoon Hide: Close to Al Jadaf
