About Jumeirah Turtle Rehabilitation Project
The Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project (DTRP) was launched in 2004 in order to protect the turtles that belong to the flagship species for the conservation of the marine environment and to raise awareness. Since its creation, more than 560 sick or injured turtles have been rescued, healed and released in Dubai water. The project is based in
Burj al Arab and Madinat Jumeirah.
The outdoor rehabilitation enclosures are open to public at the Jumeirah al Naseem hotel and visitors can enjoy turtle talks and feeding sessions every Wednesday at 11 am.
